Integrated Shock
and Dynamic
Impact Research
facility
The Integrated Shock Physics and Dynamic Impact facility houses four systems. Split Hopkinson pressure bar for dynamic strain loading studies on materials, Drop weight impact test system, ballistics impact test system and bird strike impact simulation system. All four systems are operated from one single machine and are fully automated from setup, firing, data acquisition, data storage, and retrieval and data post-processing and visualization. Entire DE pipeline is built using NI Labview ecosystem. Since the system is modular we can add more funtionality(software and data aquisition) on the go with minimal interventions.
EV/HYBRID Test Beds
Provided a integrated test facility to facilitate the study, design, develop and prototype sub systems for electric vehicle and hybrids. This includes hybrid control laws, data aquisition systems and modules, BMS, suspension, power train and chassis. It also serves as a LAB for undergraduate and graduate students to compliment their theory classes in electric vehicle applied subjects apart from serving as a ready available facility for experimentation for researchers in the university. Since the architecture is modular we can expand on it to meet future needs as and when they arise.
