CH.03 — Research Facilities

Systems & facilities we've built

The Integrated Shock & Dynamic Impact Research Facility houses four systems — SHPB, drop-weight impact, ballistics impact and bird-strike simulation — run from a single machine, fully automated end to end on the NI LabVIEW ecosystem. Hover or tap a stage below to read what happens there.

SETUP — rig configuration and sensor placement are staged and logged before every event.

Integrated Shock & Dynamic Impact Research Facility

Since the system is modular, we can add functionality — software and data acquisition — on the go, with minimal intervention.

EV / Hybrid Test Beds

An integrated facility to study, design, develop and prototype EV/hybrid sub-systems — hybrid control laws, DAQ modules, BMS, suspension, powertrain and chassis. Doubles as a lab for graduate research and coursework.
