Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This policy explains how Qvinzbridge (“Qvinzbridge”, “we”, “us”) handles personal information when you visit this website or contact us. We are a systems engineering, testing and simulation consultancy operating in India and Canada, with offices in Bangalore and Ottawa, Ontario, and we welcome visitors from anywhere in the world.
1. Who we are and whose privacy laws we follow
Qvinzbridge is one business operating in two countries. In India we operate through Qvinzbridge Private Limited, based in Bangalore, and in Canada through Qvinzbridge Inc., based in Ottawa, Ontario. Whichever office you deal with, this policy applies.
Because we operate from India and Canada, we handle personal information in line with both countries’ privacy laws: Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and any provincial privacy laws that apply, and India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”) and the rules made under it.
We apply these standards to everyone, wherever you are. If you are in India or Canada, those laws apply to you directly. If you are visiting from anywhere else and contact us by email, we still handle your information to the same standards and respond to your requests in the same way. Where the two countries’ rules differ, we aim to apply whichever gives you the stronger protection. If the privacy law where you live gives you additional rights that apply to us, we will honour them.
2. Information we collect
This website has no user accounts, contact forms, comment sections or advertising, and it does not set cookies or run analytics or tracking tools. We collect information in only three ways:
- Messages you send us. If you email us, for example at info@qvinzbridge.ca, we receive your email address and any details you choose to include, such as your name, organisation and the nature of your enquiry.
- Server logs. Like most websites, the server that hosts this site automatically records standard technical information about each visit, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages requested, and the date and time. Our hosting provider keeps these logs to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the service.
- Fonts from Google. Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts. When your browser fetches them it sends a request to Google’s servers, so Google receives your IP address and standard browser details. Google’s own privacy policy describes how it handles that information.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information. Please do not include health details, government ID numbers, financial account numbers or similar information in your email.
3. How we use it
We use personal information only for these purposes:
- to reply to your enquiries and discuss projects, products and services with you;
- to keep the website secure, diagnose problems and prevent misuse; and
- to meet legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
Consent. You give us your information voluntarily when you email us, and we use it only for the purposes above. By emailing us you consent to that use. You can withdraw your consent at any time (see Your rights), although we may need to keep some records where the law requires.
Marketing. We do not send marketing emails unless you ask for them or otherwise consent, and every such message will include a way to opt out, in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for profiling or automated decision-making.
5. International transfers
Your information may be stored and processed in India, Canada and other countries where our service providers, including our hosting provider’s servers, operate. Wherever it is held, we protect it to the standards in this policy, and we will not transfer personal data from India to any country the Government of India has restricted.
Information held outside your own country may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws. By emailing us you acknowledge that your information may be handled this way.
6. How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails and related correspondence only as long as needed for the purpose they were collected. Normally that is no longer than 24 months after our last communication, unless we are working together or the law requires us to keep records for longer. When we no longer need the information we delete or anonymise it. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period under its own retention practices.
7. Security and breaches
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Email in particular is not a secure channel. Please do not send classified, export-controlled or commercially sensitive technical data in your first message; we will agree a secure way to exchange it before you do.
If a security breach affects your personal information and the law requires us to tell you (in Canada, where there is a real risk of significant harm; in India, as the DPDP Act requires), we will notify you and the relevant regulator as soon as feasible, and we will keep records of breaches as the law requires.
8. Third-party sites
This website links to third-party sites such as LinkedIn. We do not control them and are not responsible for their privacy practices, so please review their policies before sharing information with them.
9. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- confirm whether we hold personal information about you, give you a copy or summary of it, and tell you who we have shared it with;
- correct, complete or update it;
- delete it; and
- stop using it by withdrawing your consent.
If you are in Canada, PIPEDA gives you the right to access your personal information, to challenge its accuracy and have it amended, and to withdraw consent (subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice).
If you are in India, the DPDP Act gives you the right to a summary of the personal data we process and of the parties we have shared it with; to have it corrected, completed, updated or erased; to withdraw consent; to have your grievances addressed; and to nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to.
If you are anywhere else, you can make the same requests, and we will apply any additional rights your local law gives you that apply to us.
To make a request, email info@qvinzbridge.ca with “Privacy request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity first so that we do not disclose information to the wrong person. We do not charge for ordinary requests, and we aim to respond within 30 days. If we need more time, or have to decline part of a request, we will tell you why and explain what you can do next.
10. Questions, complaints and grievances
Our Privacy Officer is responsible for our compliance with this policy and the laws above, and handles privacy questions, complaints and grievances. Email info@qvinzbridge.ca with “Privacy” in the subject line. We will acknowledge your message promptly, look into it, and reply in writing within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response:
- in Canada, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca);
- in India, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, after first using our grievance process as the DPDP Act requires; and
- elsewhere, you can contact your local data protection authority.
11. Children
This website is intended for businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed, and any updated version takes effect once it is posted on this page.
